Dave Stroup

Dave-headshot-lg Pastor Dave Stroup serves as Sr. Pastor of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Bethlehem, Georgia. Pastor Dave has been married to Lisa his wonderful wife for 23 years and they have three children. Marie and Justin are both students at Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School in Winston-Salem North Carolina, and Amber is a student at Appalachee High School in Bethlehem. Pastor Dave graduated from Baptist University of America (BUA) in 1986 with a BS degree in Pastoral Ministries and has earned a MABS from Piedmont Baptist Graduate School, and is currently working on a his PhD.

Along with his leadership at Gospel Light, Pastor Dave also teaches at Baptist Institute of America (BIA) in Loganville, Georgia, where men and women are being trained for service in their local Churches. Having served God’s people for 23 years, Pastor Dave is excited about what Christ is doing in the ministries of Gospel Light Baptist Church! 2009 has been an extraordinary year thus far with the marriage of two Churches uniting to become one for the glory of God. Pastor Dave states,"The future is bright, and the opportunities for impact are great, so let us keep our eyes on Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith!"
